Qualcomm will launch its latest mobile processor chip at its annual technical summit next month, judging by the invitation sent to the media. This giant for the production of mobile chips has sent media invitations to its next major event, a launch that will be held in Hawaii on December 4th.
Basically, it is expected that Qualcomm will present its latest mobile premium chipset, the Snapdragon 8150 SoC, the successor to last year’s Snapdragon 845 that was launched at the Snapdragon Technology Summit 2017 in Hawaii. It is expected that the Adreno 640 will come with the Snapdragon 8150 as a graphics chip.
Although the nomenclature proposes that the next chipset should be part of the Snapdragon 8xx designation scheme, some rumors indicate the branding “Snapdragon 8150” which could be just a working name for the new chip. Some circles are tipping to call Snapdragon 855 when it is published, but it’s unlikely to do so. We believe that Samsun’s tenth edition of Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10, may be the first smartphone in the world to represent this leading SoC this year next year. He could be exclusive to Samsung’s smartphone at the beginning of the year, but this is pure speculation so far.
According to the PC Pop report, the forthcoming Snapdragon 8150 SoC will adopt “large, middle and small core architecture designs” consisting of 2 super-sized cores, 2 large cores and 4 small cores. It is estimated that overall performance will increase by about 30% compared to the Snapdragon 845, but we will have to wait until the release to see what Qualcomm describes as an improvement in its new leading mobile SoC.
The slogan of the invitation is “Dare to be the first 5G mobile experience”, which is more than just an indication of the presence of 5G capabilities in the Snapdragon 8150 SoC.
Qualcomm sent invitations to the media with the Oculus Go device that can be used to watch VR video calls. The launch will take place in Maui, Hawaii, as part of a three-day technological summit that will be held from December 4th to 6th.
