MSI has introduced one of the many coming GeForce GTX 1060 6 GB graphics cards that come with advanced GDDR5X video memory. Nvidia designed this SKU to compete with AMD’s recently released Radeon RX 590 video card.
Graphic card specifications are similar to those in the original GTX 1060 6 GB model, but GDDR5X dsonosi adds additional overclocking capabilities. Nvidia used the GP104 GPI architecture instead of the GP106, but it still has 1208 CUDA cores, 80 TMUs, 48 ROPs and 192-bit memory interfaces.
MSI Armor OC comes with 1544 MHz GPU clock, and 1759 MHz GPU Boost frequencies, compared to 1506/1709 MHz reference clock speeds. This overclocking is identical to that of the company’s original GP106-based Armor OCV1 graphics card.
The memory remained at 8.00 GHz, and most probably 10 Gbps GDDR5X memory chips were used. There is SLI support, and MSI did not publish the price of the GTX 1060 6GB Armor OC model.
